USAF, Air Rescue, & Special Operations in RVN:
Technical Sergeant, USAF Pararescue Jumper, Vietnam:
These fellows deserve far more credit, and a lot more story, than I have been able to give them and the units that provided the Rescue operations in Vietnam. Like all of it, I guess it started small and turned into a very sophisticated operation, with outstanding, highly trained personnel who did a magnificent service, saving other downed airmen. These pararescue jumpers rank right up there with the best out there, and there will be a lot to add to the uniforms depicted in this section. There were the “Jumpers,” but there were the “Jolly Greens” and the “Spad” support, as well as many others, like the mechanics and medical personnel involved in these operations.
Captain, Air Force, Special Operations, Helicopter Pilot, RVN:
Master Sergeant, Special Operations, Air Crewman.
Contracted Pilot, Air-America, The CIA’s Air Operations in the RVN:
I gues much will never be known of all these folks were part of, or all they did, and who everyone was, its just the nature of the buissness, it was and is a way to operate under the radar, and out of the news, those that need to know are the only ones who do knoww what they are up too.
